Mother’s Day Gift Ideas

1 / 2 / 3 / 4 / 5 / 6 / 7 / 8 /

With Mother’s Day right around the corner, I wanted to share some gift ideas with y’all for your sweet mommas! Mother’s Day is the perfect time to spoil your momma. Moms love to spend all of their time and energy on everyone but themselves, so it’s such a great day to show your mom how appreciated she is! My momma is my best friend and the strongest woman I know, I could go on for hours explaining how much she means to me!

Over the past few years, jewelry has been one of my favorite gifts to give for Mother’s Day. Not only are jewelry pieces timeless, but personalized pieces are so sentimental. I love to give personalized pieces such as monogrammed necklaces and bracelets. A few years ago, I gifted my momma this necklace with the coordinates of Rome, Italy. It was always a dream of ours to go there so I thought this would be a sweet sentiment to remind her of our memories from the trip!

Plan a Mother & Daughter/Son Outing/Trip

Planning an activity for you and your momma is a guaranteed gift that your momma will love! Some activity ideas can be a weekend getaway to somewhere your momma loves or has always wanted to go, a paint and sip wine night, a concert, a winery, girls night in (bring on the bubbly, facial masks and chick flicks!) etc. There are so many options and what’s better than spending quality time with your momma?!

What momma doesn’t love to be pampered?! A spa day, mani/pedi or a massage is a great idea to gift your momma some well-deserved relaxation. Some other pampering ideas could be gifting a candle and a cozy robe (don’t forget to include some champagne for a nice touch!).

Another idea is to gift your mom with an at home teeth whitening treatment, such as Smile Brilliant. I received great results from Smile Brilliant last year (you can read my review here)! For a chance to win a FREE Smile Brilliant Teeth Whitening kit ($149 credit), be sure to enter the giveaway link below!

Personalized Stationary

My momma is the Queen of to do lists (I definitely inherited that trait from her!). Everything from personalized stationary to personalized cards is something a mom is guaranteed to use and love.

I hope you all have a wonderful week! Thank you so much for reading! xo

How to Transition to your Spring Wardrobe with Over the Knee Boots

The weather was so nice this weekend that I had to break out this cozy sweater dress (with the cutest bell sleeves)! As much as I love oversized sweaters and cozy scarves, I could not be more excited to break out my spring wardrobe! One of my favorite ways to transition my wardrobe into spring is to style a pair of over knee the boots with my favorite spring pieces. Over the knee boots are a great classic winter piece that you can easily pair with dresses, skirts and even jeans and a light jacket. I love the versatility of OTK boots and how they can transform the whole look of an outfit.

What are you favorite pieces to transition from winter to spring?! I would love to hear!

Thank you all so much for reading and I hope you’re having a great week! xo

Best of 2017: Beauty

I wanted to share a few of my favorite beauty finds from 2017 with y’all! I’m a total beauty product junkie and love trying out new products whenever I get the chance. I highly recommend all of these products and continue to buy them over and over again. Now, let’s get started!

Favorite Lipstick: This year I have two favorite lipsticks, Mac’s ‘Creme Cup’ and Mac’s ‘Snob’. Creme Cup is a flattering, creamy light pink/nude that is perfect for an everyday look. It has buildable coverage, so you can wear it for running errands as well as date night. This color was my go to for 2017, I wore it in almost all of my blog photos this year. Another recent favorite is ‘Snob’. This color I’ve been obsessed with over the past couple months. It’s a gorgeous shade and flattering on all skin types. This color is a bit more pink but perfect for an everyday look as well.

Favorite Foundation: This foundation is my holy grail product. This stuff is AMAZING and if I could only own one foundation, this would be it! This foundation provides amazing coverage, without feeling heavy or cakey, and lasts all day long (no need for touch ups!). I’ve tried a few other foundations but I always end up going back to this product. Hands down, the best foundation out there.  I apply my foundation with the Sigma Flat Top Kabuki brush to create more of an airbrushed look.

Favorite Setting Spray: The Urban Decay All Nighter Makeup Setting Spray really does the job at keeping your makeup in place all day (even during the hot, humid summer months)! It’s also great for weddings, engagement pictures and other special events where you want your makeup to be long wear.

Favorite Setting Powder: I have combination/oily skin and this is one of the only setting powders I’ve found that prevents my face from getting shiny throughout the day. I also use this to set my the makeup under my eyes as well. This powder is super lightweight and provides a smooth, matte finish making my foundation look so smooth. I absolutely LOVE this product.

Favorite Under Eye Concealer: I really love Tarte’s Shape Taper concealer. It provides great coverage and doesn’t crease under my eyes (a problem I’ve had with a few other concealers). With this product a little goes a long way so you really don’t need to use much!

Favorite Mascara Primer: This is the best mascara primer! It helps to make you lashes look fuller and longer when you layer your mascara on top. I’ve owned one tube for a few months, so this product will last you awhile. Plus, it’s under $6!

Favorite Mascara: This mascara is SO good! I’ve been using this product for years and nothing seems to compare to just how good it is. It makes my lashes look so voluminous, full and long. I’m such an eyelash girl and this mascara really makes your eyes pop. Another thing I love about this product is that it doesn’t get clumpy. Definitely a must have in my makeup routine!

Favorite Highlighter: I absolutely swear by this product! The Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed Highlighter in the shade Opal is one of the best highlighters I have ever tried. It  gives your skin a gorgeous glow and blends beautifully. You only need a little bit of this product so it will last you a long time!

Favorite Eye Shadow Palette: The Urban Decay Naked Palettes are hands down my absolute favorite eyeshadow palettes. The colors are gorgeous and so flattering! I love how this palette provides a wide range of shades allowing you the flexibility to create any look you’re in the mood for!

Favorite Blush: I recently added the Nars Blush in ‘Orgasm’ to my makeup routine after hearing so many great reviews about the product and now I understand the hype! I love the peachy/pink shade color of this blush, it gives you a really gorgeous glow. The color is very pigmented and looks flattering on every skin tone.

A few other honorable mentions include the St. Tropez Self Tan Classic Bronzing Mousse (SO good!) and tan applicator mitt as well as my two favorite bronzers: Hoola Matte Bronzer and Rimmel’s Natural Bronzer in Sundance (less than $5!).

I would love to hear what some of your favorite beauty products are!

Thanks so much for reading! xo
