The weather was so nice this weekend that I had to break out this cozy sweater dress (with the cutest bell sleeves)! As much as I love oversized sweaters and cozy scarves, I could not be more excited to break out my spring wardrobe! One of my favorite ways to transition my wardrobe into spring is to style a pair of over knee the boots with my favorite spring pieces. Over the knee boots are a great classic winter piece that you can easily pair with dresses, skirts and even jeans and a light jacket. I love the versatility of OTK boots and how they can transform the whole look of an outfit.
What are you favorite pieces to transition from winter to spring?! I would love to hear!
Thank you all so much for reading and I hope you’re having a great week! xo
I wanted to share a few of my favorite beauty finds from 2017 with y’all! I’m a total beauty product junkie and love trying out new products whenever I get the chance. I highly recommend all of these products and continue to buy them over and over again. Now, let’s get started!
Favorite Lipstick: This year I have two favorite lipsticks, Mac’s ‘Creme Cup’ and Mac’s ‘Snob’. Creme Cup is a flattering, creamy light pink/nude that is perfect for an everyday look. It has buildable coverage, so you can wear it for running errands as well as date night. This color was my go to for 2017, I wore it in almost all of my blog photos this year. Another recent favorite is ‘Snob’. This color I’ve been obsessed with over the past couple months. It’s a gorgeous shade and flattering on all skin types. This color is a bit more pink but perfect for an everyday look as well.
Favorite Foundation: This foundation is my holy grail product. This stuff is AMAZING and if I could only own one foundation, this would be it! This foundation provides amazing coverage, without feeling heavy or cakey, and lasts all day long (no need for touch ups!). I’ve tried a few other foundations but I always end up going back to this product. Hands down, the best foundation out there. I apply my foundation with the Sigma Flat Top Kabuki brush to create more of an airbrushed look.
Favorite Setting Spray:TheUrban Decay All Nighter Makeup Setting Spray really does the job at keeping your makeup in place all day (even during the hot, humid summer months)! It’s also great for weddings, engagement pictures and other special events where you want your makeup to be long wear.
Favorite Setting Powder: I have combination/oily skin and this is one of the only setting powders I’ve found that prevents my face from getting shiny throughout the day. I also use this to set my the makeup under my eyes as well. This powder is super lightweight and provides a smooth, matte finish making my foundation look so smooth. I absolutely LOVE this product.
Favorite Under Eye Concealer: I really love Tarte’s Shape Taper concealer. It provides great coverage and doesn’t crease under my eyes (a problem I’ve had with a few other concealers). With this product a little goes a long way so you really don’t need to use much!
Favorite Mascara Primer: This is the best mascara primer! It helps to make you lashes look fuller and longer when you layer your mascara on top. I’ve owned one tube for a few months, so this product will last you awhile. Plus, it’s under $6!
Favorite Mascara: This mascara is SO good! I’ve been using this product for years and nothing seems to compare to just how good it is. It makes my lashes look so voluminous, full and long. I’m such an eyelash girl and this mascara really makes your eyes pop. Another thing I love about this product is that it doesn’t get clumpy. Definitely a must have in my makeup routine!
Favorite Eye Shadow Palette: The Urban Decay Naked Palettes are hands down my absolute favorite eyeshadow palettes. The colors are gorgeous and so flattering! I love how this palette provides a wide range of shades allowing you the flexibility to create any look you’re in the mood for!
Favorite Blush: I recently added the Nars Blush in ‘Orgasm’ to my makeup routine after hearing so many great reviews about the product and now I understand the hype! I love the peachy/pink shade color of this blush, it gives you a really gorgeous glow. The color is very pigmented and looks flattering on every skin tone.
Hey girl hey! With Valentine’s Day being just around the corner, I wanted to share this swoon worthy red top with y’all. The detailing on this top is gorgeous and I cannot get enough of the sleeves. Y’all are probably aware of how big a fan I am of flared sleeves so naturally this top caught my eye and I had to have it. I love how bold the color is and the keyhole detailing on the back, I honestly could go on and on but I’ll save you from all my babbling! One last thing though, this top is lightweight so it also makes a great transition piece for the Spring.
This top is also a great option for Valentine Day festivities (it comes in blush and white as well). It’s easy to dress up for a night out (pair it with a red lip) or down for a casual night in (can someone pass the chocolate and rose?!). I’ll also be sharing my Valentine’s Day Dress Guide for fancier occasions in the next week or so.
