Caitlin Carol - My Summertime Makeup Routine

Today, I’m so excited to be sharing with y’all the first beauty post on Caitlin Carol! I’ve always been a lover of makeup and love trying out new products, methods, etc. I’ve recently found some products that I absolutely love and thought it would be fun to share my complete summer makeup routine with all of you!

Now let’s get started with all the details!

Hourglass Veil Mineral Primer

I always begin my makeup routine by applying this face primer. It creates a velvet-like texture that is very lightweight and prevents my skin from getting oily throughout the day. This primer helps my foundation go on smoothly allowing for a flawless look all day.

Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation in Pure Beige & Sigma Flat Top Kabuki Brush

Y’all this foundation has to be my absolute favorite I’ve ever tried. I’ve been using it for the past four or so months and I love it! The coverage is buildable and it really helps to conceal/blur imperfections, discolorations, etc. It’s rare to find a foundation that provides such great coverage without a thick or cakey feeling but y’all this is it. This foundation stays put all day long and there’s no need for touch-ups. I apply my foundation with the Sigma Flat Top Kabuki brush to create more of an airbrushed look.

BareMinerals Well-Rested CC Eye Primer & Beauty Blender

Next, I apply this CC Eye Primer right underneath my eyes to brighten up my eyes and create a ‘well-rested’ appearance. I then blend this in with the rest of my foundation using a Beauty Blender. Y’all, I will admit, at first I was hesitant to try out a beauty blender and didn’t know if it would even make much of a difference with my makeup. Boy was I wrong, I’ve been addicted ever since! They blend this eye primer with my foundation seamlessly and help to create a more natural look by absorbing any extra product. With this eye primer, a little goes a long way so you really don’t need to use much!

Nars Pressed Powder (Eden) & Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Kit

This contour kit is seriously the best! I apply the darker shades underneath my cheekbones, around my hairline and the sides of my nose. I then apply the banana color under my eyes and down the bridge of my nose as well. I finish off with the highlighter shade, applying it on my cheekbones, center of my forehead and the inner corner of my eyes. This highlighter blends into your skin flawlessly and really helps your features pop! I then apply one light brush swipe of this Nars Pressed Powder to set the contour. A little goes a long way!

Nars Bronzing Powder (Laguna)

My face tends to always be a shade lighter than my body since I try to keep my face out of the sun, so bronzer is truly a life saver for me! This bronzer creates a really subtle bronze that creates a sun kissed, honey glow. The shade is also mixed with a gold fusion, creating a light shimmer on your skin which I love! Another great thing about this product, is you can build it up to create the perfect shade for you, depending on what you like.

Maybelline Fit Me Blush (Medium Pink) & Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Kit

This blush has been my favorite for years! I use the color ‘Medium Pink‘, it creates the perfect pink for summer! The color is subtle but gorgeous at the same time, creating a healthy glow. I finish off with one final swipe of highlighter on my cheekbones.

Urban Decay Naked3 Eyeshadow Palette & Too Faced ‘Better Than Sex’ Mascara

The Urban Decay Naked Palettes are hands down my absolute favorite eyeshadow palettes. The colors are gorgeous and so flattering! I’m currently using the Naked3 Palette and am loving the rose-hued neutrals for summer. This palette also provides a wide range of shades allowing you the flexibility to create any look you’re in the mood for! After applying eyeshdow, I apply the Two Faced ‘Better Than Sex’ mascara. Y’all, this stuff is ah-mazing! I’m such an eyelash girl and this mascara really makes your eyes pop. I recently switched to this mascara about two months ago and am obsessed, it’s the best ever! I would highly, highly recommend it.

Mac ‘Pink Pearl Pop’ Lipstick & Revlon Matte Balm in ‘Unapologetic’

Lipstick is the final step in my summer makeup routine! Two of my favorite go-to colors for summer included Mac ‘Pink Pearl Pop’ and Revlon ‘Unapologetic’. ‘Pink Pearl Pop’ is more of a soft light pink color while ‘Unapologetic’ is a very pigmented beautiful coral/red color that looks gorgeous with tanned skin!

And there you have it, my complete summer makeup routine! I truly love every one of these products and highly recommend each and every one!

I would love to hear any product recommendations you all have! I’m always looking for new products to add to my makeup bag!
